Photography

I picked up a Graphlex 4x5 camera in my 20's and have not put down a camera since. I love how compact and capable cameras have become. My specialties are corporate, event and product photography. I enjoy adventuring outdoors pursuing my hobby of nature photography.

Event Photography...

Wedding photography is a specialty that I have done several times. Weddings are such happy occasions and it’s great to share the experience with the bride and groom. I don’t seek work in this category but love it when I get to be part of the celebration.

Event Photography...

Church events are strictly pro-bono work. Yet they are important to the community and its good to be part of this in a small way as a photography. All event photography is capturing history in a small but important way.

Event Photography...

I spent several years photographing the Buffalo Community Orchestra. They have been a fixture in the community for over 25 years. The coordination of the music is mirrored in the coordination of the orchestra’s movements. I have also captured videos that really show this coordination.

Event Photography...

You need to keep on your toes when photographing offsite corporate events. The lighting varies a lot, people are always on the move, and there are certain moments that must be captured. Often, they are held in public spaces so knowing the companies’ participants is critical.

Corporate Photography...

There are many types of photography that can be included in this category; People including: badges, executive, department groups, distributor training groups, the entire company, employee activities, and photos of services for web & literature. Buildings, interiors, infrastructure, and products in use.

Corporate Photography...

A great thing about taking badge photos is that I get to meet the new employees. We hire people from all walks of life to come together for a common purpose. It can be a challenge to keep track of all the names in a company of over 200 people but it’s a worthy endeavor.

Corporate Photography...

I like to take at least 3 photos when taking photos of groups. If I can make a little joke, it helps smiles to be more genuine. The flash can make people blink and it can reflect off people’s glasses. I take more photos with large groups if possible, but I try to be aware of the atmosphere and not press people to overstay their patience.

Product Photography...

My work in product photography has concentrated on Tolomatic products. These are heavy-duty actuators that are used inside of machines in diverse industries. The biggest challenge with these products is the materials used. These products include both black anodized aluminum and chrome plated parts, they each require their own lighting and exposure.

Nature Photography..

I would love to make a living with nature photography, being a National Geographic photographer would be a dream come true. I have no idea of how to make that happen, but I am content to pursue nature photography for my own pleasure. I’ve included these photos to share the joy.
